This is Dresden Spiral, my second spiral quilt (Quilter’s DNA was my first).
I entered it in the Asheville Quilt Show in 2017, where it (only) received a Merit Award for “Best Use of Skewed Blocks”. (This may give you an idea of the quality of quilts entered in the Asheville Show) Undeterred, I entered it into the American Quilters’ Society (AQS) 2018 shows in Daytona Beach and Paducah (Spring). It was accepted in both. It was my first entry in Paducah, and it was chosen to illustrate the 300 category (First Quilt in Paducah) in the Show Program.
The size is 70×90 inches. There are 54 different, mostly original, variations of the Dresden Plate block.
